National Kissing Day – July 6th 2010

Well it’s national kissing day. Who are you going to kiss?

As a treat in this post I’ve included an extract from my pocket book, The Art of Erotic Kissing. You can buy your own copy at www.thedatingdoctor.co.uk/books/kissing.html

The Corner Kiss

This erotic kiss is a delightful version of the Lick Kiss. To get an idea of how it feels just lick the corner of your mouth with the tip of your tongue. This area is particularly pleasurable for a woman.

The best way to do the Corner Kiss is for him to gently hold her head between the palms of his hands, or hold her chin steady with the fingers of one of his hands. This prevents her from moving her mouth to his as he goes to kiss the corner of her mouth. But rather than kiss, he uses the tip of his tongue to caress the corner of her mouth before he actually kisses her. He can then repeat the sequence of lick and kiss as she responds.

Enjoy, Peter Spalton.

Something for National Kissing Day on Monday

As it’s National Kissing Day on Monday 6 July I thought I’d tell you about the Nibble Kiss.

The Nibble Kiss is delicious and adaptable because it can be tender and loving one minute and playful and fun another. It’s one of the few kisses in which you don’t use your tongue. If you want to find out how it feels, just gently bite your own bottom lip.

Either the man or the woman can initiate the Nibble Kiss. If she withdraws her tongue slowly from his mouth he will usually follow into her mouth with his own tongue. She can then gently nibble the tip of his tongue. But she mustn’t bite.

Alternatively, and more pleasurably, she can back off slightly and nibble his bottom lip. He can return the pleasure by trying to nibble hers. Then they might both end up trying to nibble or suck each other’s lips in a playful way.

Sucking rather than nibbling is a lovely variation on this kiss. You can also nibble or suck your partner’s upper lip. And if you are very dexterous, you can rub your nose against the inside of your partner’s upper lip whilst sucking or nibbling their bottom lip.

There are more erotic kisses in my book The Art of Erotic Kissing which you can download half-price this weekend. Go to

The Breath Kiss

Last Sunday was national kissing day and I did a slot on BBC Radio Oxford talking about how most women will gauge a man’s potential from their first kiss. When the male presenter asked me how to captivate someone with the first kiss, I said ‘with the breath kisss’. It’s the kiss for guys who tend to rush into things, but a woman can use it too.

The idea is to build the sexual tension by taking it slow, but with purpose and tenderness. Move in very slowly to kiss her on the mouth. When you get about two or three centremetres from her lips, pause. Breathe slowly though your mouth as though you were tasting each other’s breath. Count to at least seven before you slowly move nearer and touch her lips with yours. Then just run the tip of your tongue along her lips and wait for them to part. At that point do not deep throat her, but play with her tongue with the tip of yours, nibble or suck her lower lip.

If you’ve done it properly, she should moan.

Kissing Survey

Did you see the survey of 1,000 women last week on kissing? It was part of the launch of a sensuous new chocolate called Mistletoe Kisses from Galaxy.

86% of women remember their first kiss and many even remember the name of the guy. In fact most women measure you up on the first kiss. If you’re no good, they will go no further.

54% of the women described themselves as slow and loving kissers.

23% said they were full-on and passionate kissers.

10% said they like to tease when they kiss and

5% like to explore.

What sort of kisser are you?

Ten Types of Kisses

Doing a radio slot next week on kissing. So I thought I’d list the ten most common types of kisses. They are…

  • Air Kiss – the celebrity kiss in the air near their cheeks.
  • Closed Kiss – kiss with closed mouth on lips, cheek or forehead.
  • French Kiss – the soul kiss where you share tongues and breath.
  • Lip Sucking Kiss – suck their lower lip.
  • Nibble Kiss – nibble their lower lip.
  • Moaning Kiss – moan into their mouth as you kiss.
  • Sharing Kiss – kiss and share chocolate, soft fruit or wine.
  • Lick Kiss – run the tip of the tongue over their lips just before you kiss.
  • Upside Down Kiss – chin to nose and nose to chin.
  • Hickey Kiss – the classic love bite.

Whichever you do, a good snog is intoxicating.

Enjoy.

Art of Kissing

I heard on the radio that it’s National Kissing Day today.

A good snog is intoxicating. Try it with…

  • eyes open.
  • nibbling their bottom lip.
  • flicking the tip of your tongue across their lips.
  • moaning – it creates vibration in your mouths.
  • kiss with white wine or champagne.
